  1. I know my pantry is full, and I'm broke . Too broke to buy my fav $6 vegan pork rinds , but I've stocked up on stuff that I've seen on sale or at the discount store ! If ya'll don't do this , maybe you should start .

Eta: oh yeah, forgot about the expensive vitamin . Definitely can't afford that .

  2. 90 dollars a month for a multi vitamin? Maybe broke aint the best word.
I mean, I feel pretty privileged sitting where i am and i am one paycheck away from catastrophe. That being said, i think people are getting upset because saying you are broke could seem a little insensitive to people that cant afford to put food in the pantry. Content creation might be your job, but food is a necessity and many are struggling to put it on the table.
I love your frugal ideas. Keep them coming, but maybe call it frugality. You can spend what might be someones entire grocery budget on a multi.

  3. Some of you don't understand that everyones lifestyles are different and being "broke" will look different from person to person. Being broke doesn't just mean you don't have money to buy ANYTHING, it also is paying your bills and stocking your pantry (which should always be a priority, did spring of 2020 teach any of you anything?) and having nothing left over. Or simply less money than you are comfortable having. Also, it's her job, why would she not buy supplies for her job? Stop being ignorant yall.

  4. “Who am I married to? My dogs” 😂 I love your humor! My goal is to get as comfortable with cooking as you are. For some reason it intimidates me. Your laid-back, no pressure vibe is helping, thank you!

  5. Dudes, lay off.
She is running a FOOD channel. Of course she has a well-stocked pantry.

As a low-income student/full-time slave to the system, I happen to have an overflowing pantry. I prioritize spending on what I consume for fuel because I value my health and want to stick around for awhile.

Some people spend money on cars, games, clothes… Others choose to buy food.

Also of note, in my expensive city of choice, I can buy a BAG of organic avocados from a special "discount" grocery store for only $3.99.

  6. I absolutely adore your content and love advocating for using up pantry items and leftovers. I still this it's a bit funny that you started by saying you were broke and then immediately made avocado toast. A millennial classic.
