Funny but i cannot find any top chefs showcasing airfryers … My own experience is that whilst for some things they are preety decent .. Most of the time you get a far better job by using a proper cooker ! ,,,That is hardly surprising i suppose as the modern cooker has been developed over hundreds of years to get where it is today ,,,, Air fryers are simply not in the same league

I think Alexis' method for these videos is to match the things to real kitchen appliances (e.g. Saw to knife, heat gun to blow torch, dishwasher to sous vide) but air fryer is similar to an oven, but doesn't really have a direct parallel like the others. I think that's what tripped her up, especially cuz she assumed that it would function similar to an oven.
