Thanks a lot, Madam. This dish is very tasty and all of my family members love it. Is there any substitute for yogurt in the recipe for a person who is vegan ?

Found the dumplings to be quite dense is this the texture they are supposed to be?
I always this dish exactly as per your technique..and it always turns out to be yumm!! Thanks a ton aunty ๐
Manjula ji, If I add grated potato or other vegetables in the gatta and then make dough, will they stick together in the boiling water?
Ptiya,
Dough for gatte should be soft otherwise they will not cook inside and become hard.
Hello auntyji,
Tried this recipe today & of course it turned out yummmmyyy ๐ thank u so much for being such a great help for girls like me who fear trying new Indian items in the kitchen!
You are an amazing cook! Can you share more Marwari dishes please…
May be you boiled gattas in water for too long, using baking soda will work.
Manjulaji I absolutely love your recipes and have been cooking for my wife watching your videos. Had a quick question, why do my gatte get so hard? Is there a way to make them soft? Do I need to add baking soda?
Thanks and keep up the good work! All the best.
@chardikala13

Thanks so much for your recipes, Manjula! Manjula, I just tried this recipe and absolutely loved it. I have tried several of your recipes and have loved them all.
Auntie Manjula you are the best cook!
@turuanu
Chana dal flour
@Manjulaskitchen Are you sure it's not the same? What is it a flour of then? What dal? Chana?
@grappabionda gram flour is chick-pea flour.
In Indian temples they make thousands of offering in different kinds of food stuff. Indian vegetarian cooking rocks.
@grappabionda
Gram flour and garbanzos flour is not the same, gram flour in Hindi is besan you can find in Indian grocery stores.
Dear Manjula: I donยดt know what is gram flour.Maybe garbanzos flour??
