  2. I love chickpea ”omelette” but wouldnt call it omelette. I dont use kala namak bc i dont like the egg taste at all. I use salt and italian herbs in mine. I cant taste the flour at all.

  3. Have you tried toasting the chickpea flour first slowly in a non stick pan on the stove? Also to 1 cup of chickpea flour add 1/2 c all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt and a small pinch of kala namak, and turmeric. Add water to make thin batter. Brush non stick pan with oil or veg margarine. Mix sauted veggies into batter. Cook 45 minutes to 1 minute each side. The baking soda and baking powder make It fluffy. The toasting of the chickpea flour gets rid of the raw taste.

  4. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't tried sourdough rye starter omelettes…. rye has a naturally cheesy flavor. So GOOD! (No baking soda or oil needed in a nonstick pan).

  5. That seems like a MASSIVE amount of work just to pretend to be eating an "egg-like" omelet. I think it'd be a lot easier to just make a veggie scramble and eat that with multi-grain brown rice bread. At least, that's what my wife and I eat in the mornings. I've been easing myself into a vegan diet. My wife is lagging behind, but that's her choice. Some people like eating meat or think that they need to eat meat. Either way, I'm working on it on my own for my own health and if it improves the lives of animals because I chose not to eat them or anything that they are used for making or producing bi-products that affects their lives in a detrimental way, then that makes me happy. Do I like the taste of meat? Yes, I do. Do I eat meat anymore? No, I don't. Am I glad that I don't eat meat anymore? For my health and for the health of the planet and the health of animals, yes, I am. Thumbs up! I am a new subscriber. Now, let's see if I can find any recipes on this channel that are easy and fast to make, taste good, are actually healthy and nutritious, and whose ingredients are easy to come by. 🙂
