Ok legit need a home made crust. A few points here. Why full pie crust? stores literally sell the pre-made tart shells. Second, both shell and tart premade in the frozen section include lard and modified milk ingredients!!!!!!
Lmao at the comments from people saying you can't put nuts in butter tarts. 😂 You absolutely can and it's not uncommon. What a weird thing to be hung up on.
Pecans!!! Who the hell is putting pecans in butter tarts?!?!!?! As a Canadian the only thing you should be putting in butter tarts is raisins. No nuts, no chocolate nothing else.
If you want to make your crust from scratch, coconut oil and vegetable shortening are great replacements for the butter. Applesauce is a great egg replacement if you don't like flax eggs.
Looks so good… but lots of my fam have nut allergies. Any suggestions on what to swap out with the pecans, or you think these'd be great without the nuts w/ no extras?
If you look for allergy friendly mixes you can find they are vegan as well by default. Some Canadian brands are : Duinkerken, Kinnikinnick and Presidents Choice (PC) makes a gluten free, vegan pie crust. Pillsbury does not have milk or eggs in it, Wholly gluten free is american and it's allergen free, and Bobs Red Mill has a pie crust mix that's gluten free and vegan.
The tenderflake vegetable shortening pie crust has whey powder in it tho!😳😐i know this cause i accidentially bought one a few months back without double checking the ingredients and had to return it.
Looks delicious 😋 thanks for sharing 💚
Look So Goooooooooooood 😋🥑🍽
Wowzers!! You did that. 😳 yummmm!!

Shes that chick whos single and alone at 60. What a miserablediet for a miserable they/them?
You would have to buy vegan pastry.

No pecans in butter tarts, only raisins but in my family currants.
You know that Tender Flake pie crusts are made with lard and that lard is rendered fat from pigs, right?

Why use corn syrup instead of maple syrup? Losing out on so much flavour
